Those who know Justine, or have seen her perform, will know she does not suffer fools gladly. Her charming and expressive performance take her audience along the journey with her, while never far from a punch line or a subtle gag using the raise of an eyebrow.
This Christchurch girl made good, now residing in West Auckland, there’s not a lot that gets past Justine. If you were to try and define Justine as a lover or a fighter, you'd have to say both. She is capable of tearing strips off people on stage, and then buying them a drink after the show.
Justine has previously won the 'Billy T Award' in 2003 and the NZ Comedy Guild 'Best Female Comedian' in 2008 and 2016 as well as Best MC 2016. A popular Comedy Festival performer, her solo shows: 'The Justine Smith Hour', 'Return of the Jussi' 'Jussi Town' and 'Justine Smith: Abroad" have garnered critical acclaim. Justine has also written two live shows with Irene Pink, 'I’m Sorry I Said That' and 'The Pitch.' The latter was the recipient of the NZ Comedy Trust’s Creative Comedy Initiative grant.
Justine is recognised for her appearances on everything from the Comedy Gala and AotearoHA to her recent appearance on TV3's After Hours; Funny Girls; as a panelist on TV3's 7 Days and as a writer on Rhys Darby’s Short Poppies.
A leading light of New Zealand Comedy, Justine is just as comfortable in a theatre or a local bar in the country.
Faith has been with Bridges Insurance since 2007 when she returned from 8 years working in insurance in the UK. During her time at Bridges, she has worked her way up from a Broker Support role to Senior Broker and subsequently became a Director in 2016. In 2018 she completed a Diploma in Leadership & Management with the Australian Institute of Business in Sydney and in 2019 was named Broker of The Year at the inaugural Women In Insurance Awards. When not in the office, Faith enjoys travelling to far-flung destinations, spending time with her family at their beach caravan and keeping up with the school & sports activities of her son and daughter.

Jo has more than 30 years insurance industry experience, both in New Zealand and Australia.
In July 2016 Jo was appointed CEO of NZbrokers. NZbrokers is New Zealand’s largest broker collective, responsible for more than $600M in Premium income. Prior to this she was National Manager - Underwriting Agencies and Cluster Groups at Allianz Australia, a role that had responsibility for the strategic growth and development of the Specialised Agencies, including Global Transport, Strata Community Insurance and Pet Plan.
Preceding this role, Jo was NZI’s GM Corporate and Facilities in Auckland where she helped lead the integration of the Lumley NZ business into IAG.
Jo attended INSEAD business school in France & Singapore completing an Advanced Management Programme, is a Senior Associate at ANZIIF and an independent board member of IBANZ.

After graduating from the University of Waikato I joined the workforce at SITEL (Genesis Energy) in Client Services, and then as a Business Analyst.
Moving to the Sunshine Coast, Australia, I stepped into the world of General Insurance, joining Youi Insurance, a subsidiary of OUTsurance International Holdings Pty Ltd.
I had the opportunity to walk through the doors at grass level and start in a customer centric role that enabled me to learn about our customers and identify with our brand.
To sink my teeth further into the industry I completed a Cert IV in General Insurance and took on a role as a Communications and Compliance Specialist.
Stepping up to lead this group, our department covered internal auditing, auditing of our repairer’s service, feedback from our customers via social media and surveys, and internal dispute resolution. This created a central point for feedback, allowing me to learn and make sound recommendations for change. During this time, I also had the opportunity to design and deliver a fully functioning audit system that enabled detailed and accurate reporting from the front line to our internal audit team.
After 8 years on the Sunshine Coast, my family and I moved home to Auckland, New Zealand, taking on a promotion as Head of Sales, Client Services and Retention, and more recently, Head of Operations at Youi NZ. My current role covers General Management of our NZ Operations, with a team of 100+, where I am responsible for the running of the business unit. I have a proven track record of executing the group strategy, and lifting all aspects of performance (financial performance, customer service, compliance and culture). My passion for both people and impactful strategic change has led me to join the Springboard Trust as a Capacity Partner, where I’m mentoring a School Principal throughout their year long journey of learning and applying the principles of strategic leadership.

Michelle’s career in insurance spans 30 years. She began her career in customer service roles in Dunedin and Auckland NZ for GRE before moving into the sales area as a Business Development Manager at SunAlliance.
After taking a break to have her family, Michelle returned to the industry in an underwriting role, responsible for the day to day underwriting for the Northern Region for Royal & SunAlliance. She then moved into learning to set up a skills framework for the delivery of technical learning and discovered her passion for developing people. Michelle has had a variety of roles in learning over the last 10 years and is currently the Learning Program Manager for Vero NZ, where she is responsible for managing the learning budget and the delivery of learning and compliance training across Vero NZ. Michelle is a Senior Associate (CIP) and has been active in the insurance industry, having previously sat on ANZIIF’s Academic Council, as well as the New Zealand Branch Executive Committee. Michelle has been a member of the ANZIIF Women’s Council since it’s commencement in 2012 and has held the position of Chairperson since 2013.

Racheal has over 17 years’ experience in the industry holding underwriting and broking roles before specialising in proactive claim management and resolution for the past 12 years. Racheal was Corporate Claims Manager winning Claims Person of the Year 2015 and successfully managed a myriad of claims including multimillion-dollar earthquake, complex liability, marine, and motor claims. Racheal has an active focus on risk management working with clients to understand their unique risk profile, mitigate where possible, and plan a way through any event to ensure financial certainty.

Southern Cross Health Society is NZ-owned and not-for-profit with over 860,000 members and accounting for 73% of NZ’s private health insurance claims. Vicki joined Southern Cross in 2013 and is their Chief People & Strategy Officer – taking on the people, internal communications, wellbeing, strategy and business transformation responsibilities.
Before joining Southern Cross Vicki was Head of People & Culture for professional services firm Grant Thornton. Prior to this Vicki was self-employed for 7 years as an HR Consultant working across the Not for Profit, health, banking & finance and FMCG sectors. Vicki was the New Zealand Human Resources Manager for AMP Banking, followed by several years at the Auckland District Health Board, managing HR for Women’s and Children’s Health.
Outside of Southern Cross Vicki was Board Chair of a 1,000-student primary school for 7 years until 2019. She completed a two-year Executive MBA (Dist) with Massey University in 2013 and held a governance role as a Commissioner on the Board of the New Zealand Fire Service for five years until March 2016.

Whilst originally starting his career with a large insurer, he later moved into Loss Adjusting becoming Chartered, before ultimately moving into Executive roles from 2010, which included obtaining his MBA through the University of Auckland.

Being a 30 year veteran of the industry, he has witnessed and relishes being part of an industry going through such significant fast paced change, a challenge faced by individuals and businesses alike.
Niki’s great passion/obsession is removing inefficiencies – which does sound boring but she is one of those people that finds the thought process behind Amazon’s patented “one-click buy” button a thing of beauty! This obsession started when she was a Flight Operations Controller for an airline and the daily job was to talk to everyone to find out why delays happened and make sure every barrier was removed to make sure it didn’t happen again – every minute delayed costs $3000!
After the 2011 Christchurch earthquakes, she transitioned into the insurance industry and went from claims to A&H underwriting to SME underwriting and then as a business analyst for insurance IT systems. Throughout this journey she saw one key area that needed to be more efficient and was moved to help whole insurance community communicate easier and thus RockitHub was born!

Sinead was appointed Stuff CEO in August 2017, following a career of more than two decades in media in New Zealand and abroad. Prior to becoming CEO, Sinead was NZ Group Executive Editor for four years, responsible for NZ’s largest newsroom. Under Sinead’s guise, Stuff’s stable of newspapers, magazines and number one news site, Stuff.co.nz, grew to record audience numbers and was named New Zealand’s most influential publishing brand.
Sinead started her career as a reporter for The Press and gained international experience in London working as a digital journalist for the Financial Times site and as a general correspondent for Reuters’ London bureau. She was Stuff’s first digital editor, leading the growth of the young Stuff site into the largest digital brand in New Zealand.
In 2015, Sinead won Fairfax’s internal Woman of Influence Award recognising the special role she has had in advancing gender diversity, at Fairfax and beyond. Sinead was also awarded the 2012 Wolfson Fellowship prize, the highest personal accolade in New Zealand journalism.
